Role Purpose
| The Head of Alumni Relations & Learning Partnerships is a commercially-focused senior leader responsible for building, activating, and monetising Regenesys’s most underutilised asset — its global alumni community. This role is equal parts relationship builder, intelligence gatherer, and revenue generator. The incumbent will construct a living, structured alumni database; track where graduates have landed across industries and geographies; and convert those connections into tangible learning & development (L&D) partnership opportunities that generate measurable return on investment for Regenesys. |
Key Responsibilities
- Alumni Database Architecture & Intelligence
- Design, build and continuously enrich a centralised, CRM-integrated alumni database capturing graduate details, qualifications obtained, current employer, seniority level, industry, geography, and career trajectory.
- Establish verification and data hygiene protocols to ensure database accuracy and POPIA/GDPR compliance at all times.
- Develop a segmentation framework categorising alumni by industry influence, decision-making authority, company size, and L&D budget potential.
- Implement regular re-engagement touchpoints (surveys, events, digital campaigns) to maintain up-to-date alumni records.
- Produce monthly alumni intelligence reports for executive leadership highlighting career movements, promotions, and new organisational roles.
- Strategic Alumni Engagement & Community Building
- Design and execute a multi-channel alumni engagement strategy spanning digital platforms (LinkedIn, alumni portal, email), in-person events, and regional roundtables.
- Establish alumni chapters in key markets — South Africa, Kenya, India, and other Regenesys geographies
- Create meaningful value propositions for alumni: CPD opportunities, exclusive networking events, mentorship programmes, and career development resources that sustain long-term engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing to produce alumni-focused content (success stories, thought leadership, milestone recognition) that deepens community pride and loyalty.
- Manage the annual alumni conference and related flagship events.
- L&D Commercial Development & Sales
- Identify alumni occupying L&D, HR, Talent, or executive leadership roles and systematically approach them as warm commercial prospects for Regenesys corporate training, executive education, and short-course programmes.
- Develop and own a pipeline of corporate L&D opportunities derived from the alumni network, with clear revenue targets and accountability metrics.
- Craft and present tailored L&D proposals and partnership frameworks to corporate clients — leveraging alumni relationships to accelerate stakeholder trust and shorten sales cycles.
- Negotiate and close enterprise agreements for bespoke in-company training, RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) programmes, and bulk enrolments.
- Collaborate with the Regenesys academic and programme teams to align corporate L&D offerings with real market demand identified through the alumni intelligence base.
- Track, report, and be directly accountable for alumni-derived revenue contribution, with monthly reporting to senior leadership.
- Stakeholder & Partner Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary relationship custodian for high-value alumni in C-suite, executive, and senior management positions.
- Build strategic alliances with professional associations, industry bodies, and corporate HR networks where alumni intersect.
- Represent Regenesys at external events, expos, and industry forums to elevate the alumni brand and attract new partnership opportunities.
- Reporting, ROI & Governance
- Develop a clear ROI measurement framework for all alumni engagement and commercial activities.
- Produce quarterly board-ready dashboards covering alumni database growth, engagement rates, pipeline value, conversion rates, and revenue realised.
- Manage the alumni relations budget with discipline, ensuring efficient allocation across engagement, technology, and business development activities.
- Ensure all alumni data management and communications are fully compliant with POPIA, GDPR, and applicable data protection regulations.
