The Bachelor of Education in Senior Phase and Further Education and Training Teaching is a structured four-year undergraduate degree comprising 525 credits at NQF Level 7. It is designed to develop qualified teachers with specialised knowledge and practical skills in targeted school subjects and phases. The BEd programme focuses on the Senior Phase (SP) and Further Education and Training Teaching (FET) band, offering two areas of specialisation: Science and Technology or Business and Management. Through a combination of academic learning and in-school teaching practice, students are prepared to teach effectively in diverse educational environments. Students follow a well-structured curriculum that blends academic learning, subject knowledge, professional studies, and teaching methodology. A central component of this Bachelor’s in Education programme is work-integrated learning (WIL), which provides supervised school-based experience throughout the programme.
