The National Qualifications Framework (NQF) forms the backbone of South Africa's education system. NQF Levels 1 to 10
The NQF Levels in South Africa are divided into 10 progressive levels and offer structured progression from Grade 9 to Doctorate programmes. Applicants must meet the South African NQF Level requirements when applying for higher education programmes. NQF Level 4 or an equivalent qualification is required for admission to our undergraduate programmes. Postgraduate programmes require professionals to have completed NQF Level 7 or NQF Level 8, depending on the qualification. NQF Levels Explained
NQF Level 1: This is the entry-level qualification on the NQF that is equivalent to the completion of Grade 9.

NQF Level 3: The Intermediate Certificate, which prepares learners for further education, training, or entry-level employment opportunities.
