The Bachelor of Education in Senior Phase and Further Education and Training Teaching is a structured four-year undergraduate degree comprising 525 credits at NQF Level 7. It is designed to develop qualified teachers with specialised knowledge and practical skills in targeted school subjects and phases. The programme focuses on the Senior Phase (SP) and Further Education and Training Teaching (FET) band, offering two areas of specialisation: Science and Technology or Business & Management. Through a combination of academic learning and in-school teaching practice, students are prepared to teach effectively in diverse educational environments.
BEd (Senior Phase & FET) Admission Requirements
- Matric with Bachelor's pass or NQF level 4 equivalent qualification
- Or a relevant NQF Level 5 or 6 qualification from an accredited institution as per SAQA requirements
- Competent in Mathematics, English written and oral communication skills at NQF Level 4
- Basic computer skills, internet connection and relevant IT resources
